FoodFabLab has created a planned and open meeting place between two creative forces of different realms, though interfacing: design and culinary. This meeting is formed in order to enable a process that may be followed and documented from the moment of its inception. The interface between design and culinary manifests itself in various identical processes that take place in the artist’s workshop and the chef’s kitchen: welding, injecting, inflating, molding, engraving. These processes take place in the workshop and the kitchen, though with different raw materials. Joining forces of two creators provided us a glance at the process as well as the moment of creation, by removing this wonder from the inner workshop of the creator, and forcing it to take place at the point of contact between two consciousnesses, thus bare to our amazement.
